West Valley School has an opening for Assistant Secretary.  

This position requires someone with a cheerful, positive manner about them as they are often times the first point of contact with our students, parents, and the community. Being Assistant Secretary requires a high degree of confidentiality. Duties include taking daily attendance, answering phones and relaying messages, coordination of facility rental, scheduling of field trip busses, updating student records and  immunizations in our student information system, deposits, and other secretarial type duties.  

Minimum requirements include one year responsible office experience; high school diploma or equivalent supplemented by or including courses in typing and office practices; or any combination of training and/or experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities.  Click here to view a detailed job description. 

The Assistant Secretary position is a 5 hour per day position; the pay range is $11.79 to $13.76 depending on experience; and runs from the middle of August until the middle of June, with the possibility of additional days of work in the summer months, depending on need. This position would qualify for half time insurance/cash benefit, plus Public Employees Retirement. Training would begin prior to the end of the 18/19 school year, with the position to begin in earnest on or about August 16, 2019.
